The Royal Winter Fair
Each year, a "Sheep to Shawl" competition is held on the las day (Sunday) of the Royal Winter Agricultural Fair in Toronto. Teams of six have 4 hours to card, spin, and weave a shawl from the high quality fleece of a recently sheared sheep. Some years Burr house Spinners and Weavers enters a team. The Guild's best showing was a second-place finish in November 2005.
